Despite having the economic lead and an even army size, CrunCher just couldn’t hold iNcontroL’s pressure and tapped out. iNcontroL massed an army of Blink Stalkers and Colossus and went in for the kill. Realizing that he was way behind from the failed push, CrunCher took a major risk by expanding to a Gold base while getting a Stargate and pumping out Phoenix. Once iNcontroL’s Pylon was up, it was no holds barred aggression. CrunCher initially went with a 3 Gate poke into Stargate, but when his poke got caught, iNcontroL quickly went on the offensive. Game one was on Terminus RE and saw iNcontroL open with a defensive 4 Gate. In a thrilling best of three series, both players put on a show they can be proud of.
